The management and staff of the Oyo State Ministry of Investment, Trade, Cooperatives and Industry have presented a commemorative banner to the Honourable Commissioner, Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu, in recognition of his leadership and commitment to advancing the mandate of the Ministry.
The presentation, which took place at the Commissioner’s office, was led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Olajide Mamud Okesade, and attended by directors and other members of the management and staff.
The banner, presented on behalf of the Ministry, conveyed the staff’s goodwill and commitment to supporting the Commissioner’s leadership. It described his assumption of office as the beginning of a new chapter of innovation, collaboration and transformative economic development, while expressing confidence in the Ministry’s ability to achieve greater milestones under his leadership.
Responding to the gesture, the Honourable Commissioner, Professor Salihu Abdulwaheed Adelabu, appreciated the management and staff for the thoughtful presentation and expressed his readiness to work collaboratively with them towards achieving the mandate and objectives of the Ministry.
Professor Adelabu emphasised the importance of teamwork, professionalism, innovation and effective service delivery, noting that the progress and success of the Ministry would depend on the collective commitment and dedication of all its personnel.
He further expressed confidence that, with the cooperation and support of the management and staff, the Ministry would continue to contribute meaningfully to the economic growth, investment development and prosperity of Oyo State.
Speaking on the occasion, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olajide Mamud Okesade, said that although the Honourable Commissioner had been with the Ministry for some time, he was particularly pleased that the banner was being presented at this point.
Mr. Okesade noted that the words inscribed on the banner aptly reflected who Professor Adelabu is, considering the relatively short period he had spent in the Ministry and the leadership qualities he had demonstrated.
He explained that the themes of innovation, collaboration and transformative economic development contained in the message were a fitting reflection of the Commissioner’s approach to leadership and his engagement with the Ministry.
The Permanent Secretary assured the Commissioner of the continued cooperation, dedication and professional support of the management and staff in the discharge of the Ministry’s responsibilities.
He noted that the Ministry remained committed to advancing the economic development agenda of the Oyo State Government through effective policies, investment promotion, trade development, cooperative growth and industrial advancement.
The occasion underscored the shared commitment of the political and administrative leadership of the Ministry to strengthening collaboration and delivering on the economic development priorities of the Oyo State Government.
