Objectives & Functions
At our ministry every unit and department is saddled with various objectives which perform a number of functions to ensure smooth running of the ministry as we serve the public.
Advise on Policies
Advise the Government on policies designed to boost trading, Industrial Development and Cooperative activities in the State.
Commodities Distribution
Promote and provide facilities for bulk purchase and distribution of essential commodities.
Project Establishment
Establish industrial projects either wholly-owned by the Government or jointly owned with local or foreign partners.
Provision of loan facilities
Advance loans and technical advisory services to Cooperative Societies from the Cooperative Wealth Creation Scheme.
Establishment of Cooperative Societies
Promote and establish Cooperative Societies as a means of mobilizing resources at the grassroots level and develop team spirit for the economic advancement in all parts of the State.
Data Analysis
Gather, collect and analyze data that can facilitate further economic development in the State in areas of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives.
